About Fomtrac


The Federation of Massage Therapy Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FOMTRAC) was established in 2003 and was later incorporated, under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, in 2015. FOMTRAC includes representatives from:

FOMTRAC promotes the harmonization of massage therapy regulation in Canada and the provincial regulators provide leadership and collaborate to:

  • Enable best regulatory practices for the profession of massage therapy;
  • Support the research and development of national massage therapy standards;
  • Support the inter-jurisdictional mobility of massage therapists;
  • Network, share information, and build consensus regarding the regulation of massage therapists in Canada.
